Arminians are simply those who differ from Calvinists on issues such as supralapsarianism and the Monophysite question. Needless to say, to think that the Turks would kill hundreds of thousands of people over such theological fine points is ludicrous. They just didn’t like them.

So, don’t fall for that nonsense. Nancy and Harry are good allies in our common goal of America’s ultimate defeat – and Israel’s. Whatever they do, rest assured that it is only motivated by those high principles. There can be no alliances with the Great Satan and the Little Satan.

Now, my recommendation, H., is that you consider becoming an Islamo-baptist, like us, and then all these complicated things will make perfect sense.

In a May 2 broadcast, the televangelist said Islam was a "1,400-year-old lie from the pits of hell" and called the Prophet Mohammed a "murdering pedophile." He also called the Quran a "book of fables and a book of lies."

Tehran, 3 August (AKI) - A young Iranian who was searching for his lost puppy in a Tehran neighborhood has been arrested and ordered to stand trial for 'moral corruption.'

World History Condensed

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals; and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery.

That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men or wussies. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that
conservatives provided.

Over the years Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth; the elephant.

Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

A few modern liberals like Mexican light beer (with lime added), but most prefer a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc,with passion fruit and kiwi aromas which are marked by grassy notes, then rounded out on the midpalate by peach flavors. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of chalky minerality on the finish; or Perrier bottled water. They eat raw fish but dislike beef. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, Ivy League professors, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated-hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink Sam Adams, Harpoon IPA or Yuengling Lager. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively.

Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for
nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history: It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it. A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to p*** them off.

That sawed-off little punk and former presidential candidate Gary Bauer is at it again. This is exactly the kind of thing the American people don't need to hear:

Surge Is Working; Defeatists Don’t Care

By the day, evidence is growing that the U.S. “surge” in Iraq, declared a
failure even before it had begun, is in fact working. The U.S. military,
as usual, is performing courageously on the field of battle, dislodging Al
Qaeda and its allies from strongholds, reducing their sanctuaries and doing
it all with minimal civilian casualties.

As U.S. forces kill and capture the thugs, more and more Iraqis are willing
to throw in with us. In Anbar province, U.S. forces have closed a deal
with Sunni and Shiite tribal leaders resulting in joint military operations
against Al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda has other problems too. Its bloodthirsty, barbaric tactics are
causing a backlash even among some of its own members. In one neighborhood
in South Baghdad, locals are switching sides to support us after Al Qaeda
thugs started cutting off people’s faces with piano wire.

Even an Al Qaeda cell leader crossed over and has provided the U.S. with
vital intelligence information. When asked why he had abandoned Al Qaeda,
he replied, “Because I’m sick of it and I hate them, and I am done.” (By
the way, you’re not likely to read such reports in any of the domestic
media. I learned of this report from the London Times.)

But here in Washington, powerful people, sadly, have a stake in our defeat
in Iraq. Senator Harry Reid has repeatedly announced that we have already
lost. Seventy liberal members of the House of Representatives, along with
Republican Ron Paul of Texas, have written to President Bush warning him
that they will not vote for more funding for our troops unless all of them
are “redeployed” out of Iraq before Bush leaves office.

General Petraeus is supposed to bring his report to Congress in the next
few months, but no mater what he says, the surrender contingent in Congress
has already made up its mind.

Doesn't this Bauer guy know it's over? The Iraq War is lost. Harry, if you're listening, you Dhimmy, clue this guy in, won't you?

But our grief has been greatly eased with news this week that Farfour has been succeeded by Nahoul, a great cuddly Islamic bee who is stepping in to pick up the torch for the sake of our precious children.

Thirty months is nothing, considering the circumstances. First, Lewis Libby was the chief henchman of that great war criminal, Vice President Dick Cheney. (That ought to be worth 10 years right there.) Second, he probably owned Halliburton stock. Third, it’s been reported that Libby had oral communications with Karl Rove on multiple occasions and even knew someone who once was a friend of Tom DeLay.

I mean, Jeez Louise. Throw away the key. Rarely reported in the Bush-controlled media was the fact that Libby could have been sentenced to as much as 25 years. So, why all the belly-aching about a sentence that was only one tenth of the proper amount? Because of Iraq, that’s why. And the CIA, of course.

“The trial exposed a White House allegedly deeply involved in managing the news, manipulating reporters, and exaggerating intelligence on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programme,” according to unimpeccable sources (Al Jazeera News).

It is with a heavy heart that your favorite Islamobaptist returns to you tonight. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. We refer, of course, to the withdrawal of Cindy Sheehan from the leadership of the American peace movement.

Oh, how America, so corrupted and constipated from the likes of George Bush and Karl Rove and Dick Cheney, has sorely needed a movement like Cindy's. But we understand her frustration and feel her pain. We can even agree that Americans have failed to get off the pot and respond as they should have to her inspired leadership. More's the pity.

Some have said it's because she's a first-class Kool-Aid drinker with a room-temperature IQ. But we say, no, there's nothing first-class about Cindy Sheehan. The reason is obvious: She's a woman. And, as all Islamobaptists know, women cannot lead.

We also agree that the Dhimmicrats have failed to do all they could to bring the troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan and New Orleans. What a disgrace. But do we need to point out that Nancy Pelosi--also a person of the female persuasion--is in charge in the House of Representatives?

The lesson here should be obvious: If America is serious about surrendering to the forces of global jihad, it needs to turn these things over to arguably male leadership. Like John Murtha and Dennis Kucinich and Barack Obama.

The 15 British infidel invaders are being freed, even as we speak, demonstrating for all to see the noble magnanimity of the beloved ruler of Iran, Mahmoud "Mojo" Ahmadinejad (P.B.J.). And this, even in the face of new evidence of the treachery of the Bush regime, as reported by ABC's Brian Ross, in trying to "destabilize" the Islamic republic. It is clear for all to see, is it not, who has the moral high ground here?

Meanwhile, the evil Bush and his minions has been dealt a serious political setback by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the peace-loving administration of Syrian President Basher Assad. How far have the mighty fallen! Now even Bush will have to realize that he cannot stand against the will of the Islamic people. He will have to deal with us. He will have to come to the bargaining table for direct talks with both Iran and Syria. We will reason together, and Bush will soon realize to whom he now answers.

Yes, the handwriting is on the wall. The anti-Bush Democrats are forcing an end to America's war-mongering ways. Just yesterday they destroyed the term "global war on terror." Story here. That is an excellent first step. First the symbol, then the reality.

Now the Dhimmicrat-controlled Senate, too, has gone yellow, calling for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. This demonstrates two things: One, our national security should never be entrusted to anything but adult supervision. Way too many Dhimmicrats are cowards, traitors and the basest of politically opportunistic fourflushers.

And, two, this country—as we said yesterday—no longer appears to have the stomach to do what needs to be done—i.e., win the war on terror. Move over, Rome. Make room on the ash heap of history for us Yanks. Sure, Bush can veto the bill, but in the long run the jig is up. Our enemies, who are playing a long-term generational strategy, now know they can win in the end and exactly how to do it.

Alas, the end of the noble experiment called America. Just like that…

The Costa Rica option

Costa Rica has no military. It has low taxes. It is beautiful. It is the land of perpetual spring. It has the perfect climate. It is pro-life, pro-American, pro-family, pro-free-enterprise and pro-decency and sanity. It has no abortion, no separation-of-church-and-state nonsense. Costa Rica has no Dhimmicrats, no Michael Moore, no Cindy Sheehan, no Nancy Pelosi, no Harry Reid.

NEWS FLASH: The beginning is at hand

Back to Joel Rosenberg and his predictions…

We mentioned a few of them last week from his new book Epicenter: Why the current rumblings in the Middle East will change your future. Now we want to focus on one of them in particular. This “headline of the future” reads:

Iraq Emerges from Chaos as Region’s Wealthiest Country

What? Iraq not a basket case, ruined by civil war and the meddling of America’s worst-ever president? That’s exactly right, according to Joel.

The truth is that Iraq will form a strong, stable, and decisive central government. Iraq’s military and internal security forces will be well trained, well equipped, and increasingly effective. The insurgency will be crushed, support for it will evaporate, and foreign terrorists will stop flowing into the country. …

How can Joel make such wild predictions? He is, certainly, going way out on a limb. But as we’ve said before, we’ll put his track record up against anybody’s. He makes this prediction using what he calls the “third lens”—viewing the world not through political and economic lenses, as we’re accustomed, but through the lens of Scripture.

When we look at Iraq through the third lens, we see an Arab country that does not participate in the Ezekiel 38 and 39 attack on Israel. Also, Revelation 18 pictures a rebuilt Babylon rising in Iraq to become a major powerhouse in the world economy. Saddam Hussein actually began the rebuilding of Babylon, which was halted by the Iraq War. Apparently the work is going to be finished.

And perhaps these Old and New Testament predictions are related:

Iraq meanwhile, as one of the few Middle Eastern countries not having participated in the attack on Israel, will be one of the few oil powers … left intact when the smoke clears. As oil and gas prices skyrocket due to severe shortages, the world will become increasingly dependent upon Iraq for energy, and money will pour into the country’s coffers like never before.

Fantastic? Maybe. It is contrary to the current conventional wisdom, especially as promoted by our mainstream mediocracy. But it would be awfully good news—plus an additional bonus: An awful judgment upon Israel’s enemies that will result in the destruction of radical Islam as we know it.

If we begin to see Iraq stabilizing, against all odds, we’ll know the beginning is at hand.

Iran ‘to try Britons for espionage’

A bad moon is risin’, folks.

The penalty for espionage in Iran is death. However, similar accusations of spying were made when eight British servicemen were detained in the same area in 2004. They were paraded blindfolded on television but did not appear in court and were freed after three nights in detention.

Well, yeah, they were released after confessing their transgressions and apologizing on camera. It’s that kind of pusillanimous response by the West that encourages sociopaths like Mahmoud “Mojo” Ahmadinejad to try this kind of stuff.

Now we're reading ominous news reports that these 15 Brit sailors have "confessed" to transgressing Iranian terrotorial waters. Any civilized person would have to be concerned that these individuals already have been subjected to things not exactly in accord with the Geneva Conventions. Or else the Iranians are just lying--which seems to be their native tongue.

The question is which Britain we’ll see step up to the plate: The stiff-upper-lip Britain that went to war to take back the Falkland Islands in 1982. Or the linguini-spined Britain of 2004 that allowed itself to be humiliated before the despicable Iranian thugs.

o About that virtual endorsement of the movie 300 last week: We did like the idea of a movie that makes Iranian mullah heads explode, but apparently it’s not that good for civilized folks, either. Geysers of blood, slow-motion decapitations—more desensitization of Hollywood’s victims and more coarsening of our culture. Roscoe’s picks: Go see Amazing Grace or The Ultimate Gift instead. These movies need our support.

o About that supposed Russian ultimatum to Iran to stop uranium enrichment and pay its bills: Russia says it never happened. "It is inaccurate information, we have not presented Iran any ultimatum," Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin categorically asserted when questioned by the press. Guess it’s the Russkies’ word against The New York Times. Hmm…that’s a toughie: Which is the bigger liar? Read more.

o You probably heard about the terrorists in Iraq who got their vehicle through a checkpoint with two kids in the back—and then blew it up, with the kids. Par for the course, maybe. But did you hear about the Indonesian Muslim militants getting 14 to 20 years for beheading some school girls in Sulawesi? They would have received harsher sentences, but these girls were Christians. Understanding the times

Yes, sir. The man to watch these days is Joel Rosenberg. His ability to understand—and explain—the times is truly uncanny.

Currently, he’s holding forth on the bizarre kerfluffle between Russia and Iran regarding the former’s assistance on all things nuclear and the latter’s alleged failure to pay its bills. Some accounts are interpreting this as Russia finally getting religion about the U.N. concerns over a nuclearized Iran. But, as always, there seems to be more here than meets the eye.

Joel isn’t buying that wishful scenario. He believes this is all about Russia showing Iran who’s boss in this relationship—and definitely no rending of the relationship itself. Read all about it on his blog.

Remember, Joel is the one who’s forecasting a coalition of bad actors led by Russia and Iran that will attack Israel and provoke the Big One, along the lines of the Gog-Magog train wreck described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. And, oh, did we mention that so far Joel has the best track of anyone with his analyses and forecasts?

Nestled in this current analysis are several scare closets, not the least of which is what Joel describes as a region that “seems to be preparing for the next major war”:

* Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah told a Beirut rally last month that Hezbollah is "completing our readiness for what is bigger and more dangerous," and that arms are being moved "to the front."

* Syria has deployed more than 1,000 missiles near Israeli border, according to IDF intelligence. "We are seeing serious preparations for a war by Syria and Hizbullah, with massive help from Iran," an Israeli military source told the World Tribune.

* What's more, Israel held a nationwide missile attack drill yesterday, and thousands of Israeli, U.S. military forces are currently testing joint defenses against missiles armed with nuclear, chemical and biological warheads in an exercise called "Juniper Cobra."

Methinks we need to delve into some of Joel’s other predictions. Based on his reading of Scripture, he’s going out on some limbs:

Israel will become a major oil power. Iraq—far from the basket case that our mainstream mediocracy is painting it—is destined to become a major prosperous democracy. A Russian leader becomes a major villain on the world stage. Muslims convert to Christianity in record numbers. Radical Islam is so decisively defeated in a coming conflict that the ears of all who hear it will tingle.

I’m confused. Are you, like, endorsing Newt Gingrich for president? If not, where do you stand on the candidates?

Dear L.,

So glad you asked. We have to admit to getting a little carried away recently after Newt did his mea culpas about his moral failures. We do believe in repentance and forgiveness. And with hardly a Republican in sight whom we could support—and who actually has a chance of gaining the nomination—the Newt option seemed almost irresistible.

However, we have yet to hear any similar repentance from the former Speaker about his other disqualifications—i.e., the relational problems with his fellow Republicans that so undermined his leadership that Newt was facing open revolt among his colleagues if he hadn’t resigned first. Reportedly there’s a lot more detail about that issue in the new Tom DeLay book, No Retreat, No Surrender, being released even as we speak. (We may be reporting more on that soon.)

That’s a long way of saying we’re still way up in the air, unfortunately. If we’re being intellectually honest, we have to say on many of the issues we really care about neither Rudy nor McCain is any better than Hillary. Our conscience would not allow a vote for any of those. Perhaps we could bite the lesser-of-the-evils bullet, however, if the nominee were Mitt Romney.

That, then, leaves us in the unenviable position of hoping for the emergence of a dark horse like Mike Huckabee or Sam Brownback, who are genuine social conservatives without any of the flip-flop questions nagging Romney. Short of that very remote eventuality, there’s really only one other option: The dreaded Third Party Candidate.

Yes, that. Yes, we know all the arguments about wasting your vote. But again, what’s really gained in stopping a Dhimmicrat Hillary in favor of a Republican one? So, we’ll be looking into that third-party option—and reporting what we find, if it’s helpful.

Sorry that it’s come to that. And aren’t you sorry you asked?

ROSCOE’S Weak-End Review

After considerable reading, research and thought, we have tentatively arrived at a recommended response to the challenge of radical Islam. It consists of three simple parts:

1. Defense: We must do everything possible to win the War on Terror. This is not political. History absolutely verifies that only overwhelming force works. Anything else is perceived as weakness and moral inferiority.

2. The love of Christ: Scripture indicates that the major Arab tribes (Isaiah: The “flocks of Kedar,” etc.) are all in the Millennial Kingdom. Something happens in the last days to bring many Muslims into the fold of Jesus. Even now 80 percent of Muslims who come to Christ in lands “closed” to the gospel do so following a dream or vision of Jesus. A witness of true Christianity in acts of love and charity may accomplish more than we can imagine.

3. Stand by Israel: There is a saying in the Middle East that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Radical Islam hates Israel and America. Israel is our friend. The Jews are the chosen people, and we need to recognize that. When the end comes, God Himself will destroy Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38 and 29), and that will be the end of radical Islam. And when He does so, it will be through little Israel. We need to be Israel-obsessives.

Meanwhile

Joel Rosenberg is my inspiration for No. 2. He organized the Joshua Fund, which has begun shipping containers of clothing and other assistance into Israel for both Arab Palestinians and Jews. (We may be traveling to Israel with him later this year.)

Joel also had a recent blog post that gives some interesting insight into the current Middle East situation—NETANYAHU TO MEET WITH V.P. CHENEY ON IRAN NUCLEAR THREAT (March 9). It includes the interesting disclosure that Syria’s military budget has been increased ten-fold, in obvious anticipation of war. Already the forces of Gog and Magog are preparing for battle.

God will defeat them through Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Stand with Israel.

Cats Invade Neb. House, 3 Injured

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Two stray cats got into a house and attacked three people inside, then were euthanized and checked for rabies, authorities said.

The cats entered Melissa Breva's house through an open front door on Monday, and attacked two women visitors and a boy, authorities said.

"I thought I had seen it all, but I have never seen anything like this," Chief of Police Martin Gutschenritter said.

Animal control officer John Pettit responded to a call for help, Gutschenritter said.

One woman was scratched and bitten on her legs; the other woman was bitten on her right calf, authorities said.

After talking to them, Pettit went to his truck for snares, then heard screaming from inside the house.

First we heard that Bush & Rumsfeld had mismanaged the war by not sending enough troops to Iraq. Then Bush cans Rumsfeld, appoints Robert Gates as SecDef and beefs up forces in Baghdad in a move unpopularly known as the Surge. And then the Dhimmicrats start screaming bloody murder over that, too. Talk about trying to have it both ways. Are we missing something here?

Do you get the feeling that our domestic mainstream mediocracy isn't telling us the whole story? Well, the KUNA report would certainly seem to indicate so.

And we think this begs the question: Do the Dhimmicrats favor higher American casualties for their own political purposes? At this point, it seems like a valid question to us.

The Ultimate Gift

Earlier this week we gave a rave review to Fox Faith's movie The Ultimate Gift, but noted that it was off to a pretty slow start in its opening weekend, grossing only $1.2 million. Now we hear that the opening was on a limited number of screens, so the draw was actually better than it sounded.

One Christian Web site reported:

The stories we are getting from around the country have been inspiring. The Ultimate Gift has created a wonderful buzz in the movie marketplace, and in homes across America. The opening this past weekend on a limited number of screens was heralded by critics and movie-goers alike. Look at places where the people vote on films -- comments like “one of the best movies I have seen in years”, “soon to be a family favorite”, and “It’s a Wonderful Life 2007” are prominent on discussion boards and in the reviews from “Heartland America” critics everywhere. ....

Jefferson’s Quran

When Keith Ellison was sworn in last January as America’s first Muslim congressman, pledging his allegiance to the United States, he did so with his hand on a Quran—and his fingers crossed behind his back.

It was not just any Quran; it was the property of Thomas Jefferson, our third president, borrowed from the Library of Congress archives for the occasion. Ellison asserted that the “visionary” Jefferson esteemed the Quran as a source of wisdom. Those who fell for that whopper are simply ignorant of history.

The real truth is that Jefferson owned a copy of this sorry tome for one reason only—to know his enemy. For the truth is that Jefferson was preparing for war against the Barbary pirates and the Muslim states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli. Remember the famous cry, “Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute”? That was Jefferson, who ended the practice of paying off these Muslim thugs to assure safe passage of America’s ships in that part of the world.

He knew appeasement wasn’t working, and that brute force was the only thing that would. That’s where the Marine Corps anthem commemorates in the line, “From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.” Read the rest here.

Speaking of Muslim racism

Oh, this is rich: Yesterday we suggested that those wascally Iwanians were so overwrought with outrage about the gorefest movie 300 because of the unpleasant reminder of their ignominious defeat by the Greeks in the battle of Thermopylae. Well, there may be another reason, too. This historically inaccurate flick also depicts the Persians as black. Think David Duke and his attitude toward blacks and Jews, and you’ll have a pretty good idea about how that plays in Tehran.

This puts the ol’ Roscoe in a quandary. We didn’t really want to support Hollywood’s latest “gore fest,” the movie 300, which had its monster opening last weekend. But, hey, anything that royally ticks off the Iranian government is a friend of ours. And, boy, are they ticked off.

They say it “insulted Persian civilization”—an oxymoron if we ever heard one…

Here’s the story, reported by China’s People’s Daily—which is quite entertaining on at least three levels:

An Iranian official on Sunday lashed out at the Hollywood movie "300" for insulting the Persian civilization, local Fars News Agency reported.

Javad Shamqadri, an art advisor to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, accused the new movie of being "part of a comprehensive U.S. psychological war aimed at Iranian culture", said the report.

Shamqadri was quoted as saying "following the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Hollywood and cultural authorities in the U.S. initiated studies to figure out how to attack Iranian culture," adding "certainly, the recent movie is a product of such studies."

First, this level of paranoia puts Michael Moore and our domestic Bush Derangement Syndrome folks to shame. “Hollywood and cultural authorities,” indeed. We want some of what they’re smokin’…

Second, if you read the whole thing, you can have a fun adventure in English as a second language. (“The movie's effort wound be fruitless, because ‘values in Iranian culture and the Islamic Revolution are too strongly seated to be damaged by such plans’, said the Iranin official.") If you’ve ever been to the People’s Republic, their treatment of other languages is sort of like their plumbing—not real reliable.

Third, nowhere will you be told of the real reason for the outrage: It’s a movie about the PERSIAN DEFEAT. Yeah, say it again: The PERSIAN DEFEAT. Had the Greeks not whupped them decisively here, European history could have taken a decidedly different turn. Forget all the other sound and fury. The real issue:

They’re LOSERS, and they don’t want to be reminded of it.

Roscoe’s Pick

We highly recommend the new film The Ultimate Gift. It’s the debut of a new line of films from Fox Faith Movies—i.e., movies that don’t have anything to do with homosexual cowboys, cannibalistic killers or global warming. Needless to say, they also don’t have anything to do with the likes of Michael Moore or Sean Penn.

What this movie does have to do with is character. The hero, Jason Stevens, has to pass a series of challenges—including hard physical labor—in order to meet the inheritance requirements from his billionaire grandfather, very ably played by James Garner, who doesn't want him to live the rest of his life as a rich spoiled brat. Bill Cobbs is also excellent as Grandpa Stevens’ law partner. And then there’s the real gem—little Emily Rose, played by child actress/prodigy Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine).

We won’t spoil it by giving away any more of the plot, but it’s a tearjerker with a great story, some excellent acting, strong character development and a much-needed message. In the Sunday afternoon showing we attended, we were the only four people in the theater. So, we worried about the gate, but reports are that it grossed $1.2 million on this opening weekend. So, Fox should be encouraged to keep on trucking with this line. And for our part, we need to support flicks like this.

Predictably, the reviews are fairly sneering—but that’s the mainstream mediocracy for you. They’ll try to make you feel stupid because you like a good moral message. That should be enough right there for you to want to see this movie for yourself. Or if you need more convincing, view the trailers.

Whither Gingrich?

So, Newt was fooling around even while leading the impeachment charge against the Philanderer-in-Chief. Sounds pretty bad, we agree. Read the Associated Press story.

But Clinton wasn’t being impeached for an extramarital affair—as the AP fails to point out—but for perjuring himself to a federal court. So, perhaps Scooter Libby ought to suffer the same fate—loss of his law license for a season. Right?

On the other hand, one of the other damning charges against Gingrich—that he negotiated divorce terms with his first wife while she was convalescing from cancer surgery, as the mainstream mediocracy have reported it—may not have happened quite that way. Newt says he doesn’t recall even having such a conversation with her at that time.

It turns out that what the mainstream mediocracy have been reporting about this incident as fact has been the ex-wife’s version of the story. Are you surprised? You shouldn’t be. Remember, the mainstream mediocracy for years have demonstrated a blind hatred of Gingrich rivaled only by their naked loathing of Bush, Cheney and Rove.

So, we say Vive Gingrich! And his running mate—Anne Coulter. Wouldn’t that be rich?

Anyway, in case you were wondering (or care), our goal is to post daily or darned close to it.

This could really change things

Are you in the same political boat as we are, with no good, electable, conservative Republican on the presidential horizon? Rudy’s too liberal. Romney’s too flip-floppy on life. Gingrich is too radioactive in his personal life. And McCain is too … well, McCainish (who’s made it real clear what he thinks of evangelicals).

But, wait. One of those scenarios could be about to change. Newt Gingrich, it seems, is reportedly trying to reinvent himself as a repentant sinner:

Should we believe him? Your guess is as good as mine. People who want to be president will say a lot of things. We’ll just have to listen well, weigh his words and look for his heart. How much ownership a person takes for his actions (versus deflection, excuses and rationalization) is usually the giveaway.

If he’s for real, this would easily move Newt to the top of our list. He’s definitely smart enough to be president, understands the times and the issues and has staked out the correct position on all of them, as far as we can tell. That’s saying a lot.

Yes, he does have high unfavorables among the electorate, but then so does Hillary. Does anyone really doubt she’s going to be the Dhimmicrat nominee? At this point, it’s hers to lose. Obama is just a temporary distraction, a darling of the mainstream mediocracy. It’s going to be Hillary versus Giuliani or—maybe, just maybe—Newt Gingrich.

It would be worth it for the aggravation factor to liberals, if nothing else. We can just about see the exploding heads already. Tee-hee.

Holy guacamole, Batman! No sooner do we post something about Gog and Magog and the End of the World As We Know It, then along comes ol’ Joel Rosenberg with not one, but two new developments:

1. The Israelis are getting serious about rebuilding the Temple. They’ve already reconstituted the Sanhedrin, fattened their calves and prepared to reinstitute the daily sacrifice. All that’s missing is the altar on Temple Mount, and even that apparently is in the works. There is that little problem of the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa mosque kind of in the way there, but Scripture does indicate it will happen, somehow.

2. Iranian President Mahmoud “Mojo” Ahmadinejad is in Sudan to forge another link in the End Times chain of Gog and Magog nations that will attack Israel in the battle of Armageddon. It’s absolutely breathtaking how, like a Polaroid picture, events are taking shape before our very eyes.

A friend forwarded some intriguing info our way, including such factoids as 25 percent of Moscow is now Muslim and that in 10 years the Russian military is projected to be 50 percent Muslim. Nor are things any better in the West, as Europe rapidly morphs into Eurabia.

When you read the article below, you may be tempted to agree with this friend’s observation: “Not to open up a whole can of End Times worms, but perhaps Gog and Magog are coalescing much faster than we might have expected.”

This particular story is from Britain. Some excerpts:

Thousands of churches face closure, demolition or conversion in the next decade, leading to the demise of some branches of Christianity in Europe, according to experts. …

Just one tenth of the nation's Christians attends church, and churches are now closing faster than mosques are opening. Practising Muslims will, in a few decades, outnumber practising Christians if current trends continue. [Emphasis added.] …

By 2005 the number of churches had fallen to 47,600. According to the organisation Christian Research, another 4,000 are likely to go in the next 15 years.

In the Church of England alone, which still has 16,000 churches, 1,700 have been made redundant since 1969.

Over the same period, the number of mosques in Britain has grown to almost the number of Anglian churches that have closed. The Islamic website Salaam records a total of 1,689 mosques.

What's (hic) up?

Did you hear about the Florida girl who couldn’t stop hiccupping for three weeks? Man, a few years ago I had hiccups for just four days, and I began to think it was terminal. The difference here, I guess, is that this girl’s hiccups would stop when she went to sleep. Mine didn’t.

Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep for those several days. Pretty hard to sleep with a sensation like somebody shaking you every 10 or 15 seconds. So, the fourth night of not sleeping—oh, about 3 a.m.—I was desperate. Without waking my wife, I got up, drove myself to the nearest ER and requested a lethal injection … And, boy, did I get one.

Obviously, I didn’t die, but it would have seemed a reasonable option at that point. This pony-tail ER doc comes to me with a needle, asking me if I want the shot in the rear end or the arm. The more important question, I thought, was what was in the syringe. “Chlorpromazine,” the doc said. “It’s the only thing that really works.”

“OK—in the arm,” I said. I stopped getting shots in the rear end when I got out of grade school. “Really?” said the doc, seeming a bit taken aback. Then he shrugged and shot me up. “Uh, is there a reason it might have been better in the butt?” I asked, somewhat suspicious. “Yeah,” said the doc. “That’s a big dose. You’re gonna be a little sore.”

A little sore. Yeah, I only lost partial use of my arm for the next three days. But that wasn’t the worst part. I didn’t know what chlorpromazine was—that its other name is thorazine, that it’s a heavy-duty anti-psychotic strong enough to stop a raging musk ox in its tracks or that using thorazine to cure hiccups is like using an atomic bomb in your flower bed to plant tulips.

“You got somebody to drive you home?” asked the doc. “No, why?” I said, now really suspicious. He looked at the clock. “How far do you live from the hospital?” “About 20 minutes,” I said. “Then if I were you, I’d get going right now. You may get a little whoozy by the time you get home.”

A little whoozy. Good thing there weren’t many cars on the road at that hour. By the time I got home, I could barely come up with my own name—or walk. Somehow I made it to bed and passed out. For the next 36 hours I was of no use to God or man—which wasn’t funny because we were selling our house and we didn’t have long to finish emptying it out. My wife—who didn’t want to move in the first place—was not very understanding about my total inability to move without an absolutely Herculean effort. I think I still have the scars from that.

So, if somebody offers to cure your hiccups with thorazine—don’t. Apparently, there is one other medically proven treatment—and I’m not making this up: “Digital rectal massage.” But if you’re ever in that position, take my advice: Ask for it in the arm.

Stop the leaks

These compromises of our national security have got to stop. First it’s The New York Times publishing classified information in the war on terror—warrantless electronic surveillance, etc. And now this: Bush has two moles removed from his forehead.

I was reading in my local newspaper about an organization in my state that had been formed for the defense of traditional marriage, when I came across a term that made my breakfast curdle in my stomach—“opposite-sex marriage.” That, of course, means us--the “breeders,” the Neanderthals.

I may be a hopeless right-wingnut, but—doggone it—talk about Orwellian. When normal has to be called some kind of deviant-sounding name—and the mainstream mediocracy have bought into it hook, line and stinker—you know the barbarians are definitely at the gate.

Is it too paranoid to think there might be an overt conspiracy? Not at all. Even The Atlantic, in a perverse way, has picked up the scent. Uplifting news

Remember the old Mark Eden Breast Developer that used to be advertised years ago in the back pages of magazines? It promised to add inches to a woman’s bust size through an exercise device. It was eventually withdrawn on charges of mail fraud. Seems the only thing that was really developed was the underlying pectoral muscles, which technically did increase the “bust size,” but not exactly in the way the users had hoped.

Then came silicone breast implants, which generated all kinds of litigation against Dow Chemical from women who believed them to be the cause of their various and sundry ailments. Despite those expensive settlements, it turns out the implants were probably safe, after all. But it also put the kebosh on a play by some American college of plastic surgeons trying to get “micromastia”—undersized breasts—recognized by the federal government as a medical condition. As in a mandated benefit in employer health plans.

Now comes this, out of Japan: “Stem cell technique helps women grow their own implants.” The story says it should be widely available in five years. The Brits, in particular, say they’re very interested. But then, they’re the ones who are about to make Viagra available over the counter. Ever since they lost their empire, it seems they’ve become more and more preoccupied with sex. Well, everyone needs a hobby, I guess…

But do we really need this kind of technology? I mean, it’s not like we’re suffering from an under-supply of Pamela Andersons. If anything, an argument probably could be made in the opposing direction.

Be that as it may be, there are some significant issues here. One is the potential benefit to breast cancer victims who’ve had mastectomies. The other is the public education value—if the mainstream mediocracy will honestly report this. Huge “if,” right? Because, let's face it, the pro-aborts are losing the PR battle in America, and they desperately need a new justification.

See, these are not embryonic stem cells. They are adult stem cells—taken from the woman’s own fat tissue. No human life is destroyed in this procedure, as opposed to embryonic stem cell procedures. This could well be the most under-reported story of our time—the total paucity of tangible results from embryonic stem cells versus a steady stream of new applications for adult stem cells. Like for some forms of blindness and diabetes. And now, better breasts, too.

Tonya Harding in space?

On the wall in my office is a poster from a professional advertising trade association with a beaming black-and-white image of rogue skater Tonya Harding and the captioned question, “Have you done everything you could to win this year?” Trouble is, with each passing year it seems fewer and fewer folks actually recognize the image. So, bit by bit the joke is losing its edge. Not that we’re getting older or anything…

So, thank goodness for NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak, who has arisen to stand in the gap. We just might put that poster into reruns ourselves with the same inspiring slogan, but with a fresh, new face. Although some folks have likened Lisa’s forensic photo to the not-ready-for-prime-time pix of Nick Nolte and Glen Campbell at their besotted worst.

On the other hand, when Tonya’s done with her wrestling career (if she isn’t already), maybe she could look into the astronaut corps. Sounds like something right up her alley.

Talk about inmates in charge of the asylum. CNN is alleging that a member of the Iraqi parliament is a man convicted and sentenced to death for bombing the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait a number of years ago. Not only that, but Jamal Jafaar Mohammed is a member of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s coalition.

Even worse, according to this story, Mohammed has immunity from prosecution because of his elective office. But that could change, if al-Maliki can be believed. U.S. military intelligence says Mohammed acts as an Iranian agent in Iraq.

Come on, guys. Get a grip. What do you think this is—the U.S. Congress? It also demonstrates poor judgment. Why bomb the French embassy? What have they ever done against radical Islamniacs? (Not much.)

Earth to Mojo

Further evidence that radical Islam is a mental disorder: Iranian President Mahmoud “Mojo” Ahmadinejad is so convinced that the Holocaust was a hoax, he’s challenging European governments—particularly Austria, Germany and Poland—to come up with evidence that such a thing ever happened.

Since Holocaust denial is a crime in Germany, they should indict Mojo and serve the government in Tehran with a warrant for extradition. If they don’t hand him over, maybe the Delta Force could snatch him. Read this pathetic story here.

Unfortunately, Mojo is far from alone with this particular affliction. We’ve been reviewing a manuscript about to be published with the working title Why We Want To Kill You, about the psychology of Islamic jihadists, and this delusional thinking is an outright epidemic. One of the stories is that 600,000 Jews and Christians died during World War II of typhus, and the Jews—who, of course, control the international media—hyped it up to 6 million Jews. The idea was to cast themselves in the role of victim so they could steal all that land for Israel.

Sick, sick, sick. Methnks Mojo needs to spend some time in a rubber room devoid of sharp objects—let alone nuclear devices.

Why are we subsidizing folks like the Iranians (and, for that matter, the Saudis and the Chinese) to try to destroy us? We need to DISINVEST all Iranian holdings. (And, while we’re at it, do NOT buy Venezuelan Citgo gas.

Here’s an excerpt from Dick Morris’ latest report on the disinvestment movement:

Instead, Bush should continue and accelerate his efforts to destroy Iran's economy by cutting off investments to companies that invest there. Frank Gaffney's disinvestterrror.org campaign says that 87 state-administered pension funds in the United States have invested $188 billion in one of 500 publicly traded companies that "partner with terrorist-sponsoring states." These 500 companies among them "have $73 billion invested in Iran, Syria, Libya, and North Korea." (This 2004 data includes investments in Saddam's Iraq).

Among these companies are: Alcatal SA, BNP Paribas, Hyundai, Linden Petroleum, Oil and Natural Gas Corp, Siemens AG, Statoil ASA, Stolt Nielsen, Technip Coflexip, and Total SA.

And did you hear that Al Gore and Rush Limbaugh have been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize? Rush’s nomination, of course, doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in France, while Gore’s would be right up their alley. Gore’s nomination cites his vast contributions in the field of junk science, while Limbaugh is heralded merely as “the foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today.”

Obviously, that’s no contest. That would have to be Gore by at least two touchdowns. And if Gore doesn't win a Nobel, he's still got a good shot at an Oscar.

Trent Lott said what?

So, it doesn’t even take 24 hours for Joltin’ Joe Biden to shoot his own presidential candidacy in the fanny with an egregiously offensive remark about Barack Obama being a “clean” black. That’s gotta be some kind of speed record, don’t you think?

But then, Biden’s a Dhimmicrat, so it’s not likely to have that much traction in the mainstream mediocracy. Not nearly as much, anyway, as if one of those nasty Republicans—like, say, Trent Lott or George Allen—had said it.

So, this Biden gaffe may not have the same repercussions, but it still has a certain entertainment value for people like us. And, considering the Dhimmicrat talent line-up, we can probably look forward to a lot more such entertainment this political season.

As Trent Lott would say, that’s almost as much fun as a Strom Thurmond 100th birthday party.

Jacques Chirac said what?

So, the president of France thinks one or two little nukes might be OK for Iran to mess around with? Well, we’re glad he’s got some standards. We’d hate to think Jacques was a sucker or something.

The United States and Israel could probably afford to lose one major city each, right? In the big scheme of things, Jacques probably thinks that’s reasonable.

Seriously, what is wrong with these people? Apparently, Chirac thought better of his remarks after they were published and tried to take them back. Not that he didn’t say them—just that he thought he was speaking off the record.

So, that makes it OK? Does that all make better sense in French than it does in English?

Do you suppose he might have room on his ticket in the next election for a certain similarly bizarre senator from Vermont? Inquiring minds want to know...

Or like John F. Kerry, claiming he was dropping out of the presidential sweepstakes to devote more time to working against the war. Can you count how many levels that’s wrong on? I’m afraid I can’t count that high.

BTW, you wouldn’t know it from the mainstream mediocracy, but there’s a lot of folks who don’t think the Iraqi insurgents are that tough. In fact, there are some very good reasons to believe the new Bush strategy has a fairly good chance of working.

Writing in foreignpolicy.com, Naval War College Professor Donald Stoker says the Bush administration’s worst mistake in Iraq has been the managing of public opinion back home. The “surge” itself, he says, may just work, if we don’t wimp out. Here’s the top of it:

Vietnam taught many Americans the wrong lesson: that determined guerrilla fighters are invincible. But history shows that insurgents rarely win, and Iraq should be no different. Now that it finally has a winning strategy, the Bush administration is in a race against time to beat the insurgency before the public’s patience finally wears out.

The cold, hard truth about the Bush administration’s strategy of “surging” additional U.S. forces into Iraq is that it could work. Insurgencies are rarely as strong or successful as the public has come to believe. Iraq’s various insurgent groups have succeeded in creating a lot of chaos. But they’re likely not strong enough to succeed in the long term. Sending more American troops into Iraq with the aim of pacifying Baghdad could provide a foundation for their ultimate defeat, but only if the United States does not repeat its previous mistakes.

It wouldn’t be the first time George W. Bush surprised his misunderestimating opponents. Considering how deeply the Dhimmicrats are invested in our failure in Iraq, I’d like to see victory just to ruin their day.

Doggone Frenchman

What a weenie. John Kerry won’t run. That is so disappointing. Really. We are so looking forward to the most crowded field possible of Dhimmicrats stabbing each other’s backs, despoiling each other’s images, etc. Now it’s been reduced by one. Wouldn’t you have paid to see the Frenchman and the Breck Girl and the Hillary clawing at each other’s eyes in the primaries? All that Blood & Gore, so to speak.

I understand Kerry got a little weepy announcing his non-candidacy. As well he should. Now he’ll have to spend most of his evenings with Therese. [Insert shrieking banshee sound file.] Ted Kennedy lauded Kerry as a hero for putting the party ahead of his personal interests. Yeah, right. Like it didn’t have anything to do with his single-digit ratings in the polls. Or like it didn’t have anything to do with candidates for other offices asking Kerry not to campaign for them. The truth is he would have stunk the place up, and he knew it.

Oh, well. We’ll have to settle for Obama spitting in Hillary’s soup. BTW, did you notice how Obama upstaged Hillary by sitting in front of her at the State of the Union? Maybe it was just a coincidence. Yeah, that must have been it.

Red blues

Unfortunately, it appears the Republicans could actually be even more conflicted than the Dhimms. Take, for example, the fact that there’s far less of a gap between the GOP frontrunners Rudy Giuliani and John McCain than there is between the Dhimms’ frontrunners, Hillary and Obama. Make no mistake, the so-called first 100 hours represent no less than an attempt to show who’s boss and intimidate and silence the rest of us. Check this out:

Senate Heeds Grassroots Pressure

Now the battle over congressional accountability moves to Nancy Pelosi’s chamber.
Republican senators and a few Democrats voted Thursday night to reject an attempt to silence grassroots groups.

The Senate adopted an amendment offered by Sen. Robert Bennett, R-Utah, to strip Section 220 -- the so-called "grassroots-lobbying provision" -- from S.1, an ethics-reform bill.

"This is a clear victory for the Constitution, the First Amendment and grassroots organizations who want their voices to be heard by Congress," Bennett said.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he was pleased with the vote outcome.

"I am an advocate for reforming the way business is done in Washington, but I believe that we should do so without silencing the voices of ordinary citizens," he said.

Ta-da! The burqini

Ever wonder what Muslim women do about those pesky tan lines? Don’t. Not if you want to keep your head attached to your body.

Actually, ye olde burqa obviates all that, rendering the whole body a zone where the sun don’t shine. In fact, there have been reports of health concerns about Muslim women getting pale, wan, fat and weak through lack of exercise, all because of their restrictive clothing.

But now a fashion designer has come along with a solution—the burqini, a modest swimming garment that exposes only the hands and face. Hat tip to Little Green Footballs.

Makes us wonder, though: With this kind of wild & crazy behavior, can wet burqa contests be far behind?

Big fish

OK, so maybe the U.S. didn’t get embassy bomber Fazel Abdullah Mohammed last week in its strikes in Somalia, as previously reported here. But did you hear about the raid in Iraq that meanwhile netted some big fish Iranians? That reportedly includes a major bottom feeder, Hassan Abbasi. This could be big.

Here’s part of the report from Regime Change Iran (which we’re visiting daily, right?):

In 2005 Iranian journalist Amir Taheri, reported that "to Iran's new ruling elite, Abbasi is the big strategic brain." "More and more officials quote him in meetings with foreign diplomats."

According to Taheri, Abbasi is the architect of the so-called "war preparation plan" currently under way in Iran.

"The Western man today has no stomach for a fight," Abbasi says. "This phenomenon is not new: All empires produce this type of man, the self-centered, materialist, and risk-averse man." Abbasi believes that the US intervention in Iraq, which involved "slightly higher risks" than the invasion of Afghanistan, was the very last of its kind.

Sounds like the boy was actually on to something. Perfect description of Dhimmicrats.

Carter's little scandal

And then you probably heard that 14 members resigned from an advisory board to the Carter center in protest of Jimmy Carter’s pro-Arab, anti-Israel book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. We can’t help but wonder why these dots aren’t being connected, but there’s a very good reason for Carter’s anti-Israel cant: Money. We’ve reported here previously how Jimmuh is on the take from the Islamists. Simple as that.

His center is a major recipient of funding from Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talal. That’s the same prince who offered millions of dollars to New York City after 9/11 with the recommendation that America rethink its foreign policy vis a vis Israel. Rudy told him where to stick it, but Jimmuh apparently has no such compunctions. Al-Walid is also the same one we wrote about who’s helped fund the work of the major academic apologist for radical Islam, John Esposito.

After your—ahem—daily visit to Regime Change Iran, you might want to check out NewsBusters for the story behind the Bush Iraq strategy story—the mainstream mediocracy’s shameless spin to Hide the Truth from America. How do we know this? Does the sun rise in the east? That’s how sure we are. (And in case you didn’t know, NewsBusters is undoubtedly the best place to get the antidote to all the toxins that the mainstream mediocracy spews upon us each day.)

In fact, the drumbeat already began long before Bush even went on the air to address the nation. Did you see Time magazine’s cover this week? “The Surge: Does sending more soldiers to Iraq make any sense?” That little gem was written, of course, at least a week ago.

Speaking of usual suspects, al-Reuters has already done the predictable and declared “Bush defies public opinion, Democrats on Iraq troops.” The story—we will not link to this egregious piece of French—dwells heavily on a supposed split in Republican ranks—giggle, giggle—going out of its way (and the mainstream) to quote senators like Norm Coleman and Sam Brownback. Not what you’d call exactly representative of Republicanism on this issue. But, hey, what did you expect? Fair and balanced? (LOL.)

Meanwhile

Another thing the mainstream mediocracy won’t be expending a lot of ink or kilobytes on: That surprise American strike in Somalia this week brought justice to a seriously bad dude: Fazel Abdullah Mohammed, the mastermind of the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania that killed more than 200 people. The collapse of the Islamist regime there with the help of the Ethiopians allowed the opportunity to bring this maggot to justice. Eternally.

Remember in the early George Bush years how the mainstream mediocracy constantly underestimated this president’s intelligence and gravitas, to their own detriment? It continues. All of which adds up to the fact that we’re also probably doing one heck of a lot better in the war on terror than you’d gather from the dinosaur media. Fazel Abdullah Mohammed is a case in point. And that’s good news.

And finally

Keith Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress, elected in November, has been named to the House Judiciary Committee. The Associated Press reports:

In a prepared statement Wednesday, Ellison, D-Minn., called the selection an honor and privilege.

"I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen's civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years," said Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress.

Ellison, a freshman lawmaker, said this week he'd like to see a ban on racial profiling, an issue that could come up in the Judiciary Committee.

And, oh by the way, the new Democrat chairman of that committee? John Conyers, D-Mich., whom Investors Business Daily calls “in the pocket of Islamists.” Conyers is probably the highest-profile supporter of convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal and has sponsored legislation, unsuccessfully thus far, to make public criticism of Islam a crime.

Did you hear that the Israelis are now denying the Sunday Times report that they are planning a tactical nuke strike on Iran's nuclear facilities? Sort of, anyway. The way these statements are couched, they seem more like "non-denial denials."

Meanwhile, the U.S. government is tight-lipped about some kind of military action today in Somalia. Various reports say individuals responsible for the 1998 embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania were targeted. More intriguingly, some reports allude to a "senior al-Qaeda" figure. Read more here.

Roscoe has felt for a long time that with as months and years as Osama bin Laden has eluded capture, he could be just about anywhere. The idea that he's still holed up somewhere on the Afghan-Pakistan border seems a little hard to swallow.

Suppose he could have returned to Somalia? Or maybe someone like Ayman al-Zawahiri. The other piece of the puzzle is that this strike was called 48 hours before President Bush announces a new phase in the war on terror.

But then, maybe we're just the suspicious type. . .

Take a good look at this Iranian installation called Natanz. It’s one of the evil regime’s nuclear production facilities, and it’s targeted for destruction. At least, that’s the report from the Sunday Times of London.

Revealed: Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran

ISRAEL has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear “bunker-busters”, according to several Israeli military sources.

The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israeli weapons would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb. Under the plans, conventional laser-guided bombs would open “tunnels” into the targets. “Mini-nukes” would then immediately be fired into a plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce the risk of radioactive fallout.

These reportedly are commanders who are committed to military victory in the Middle East, sniveling Dhimmicats be damned. This post from Ralph Peters will help you understand why, for example, Bush would appoint an admiral, William Fallon, to replace Gen. Abizaid in charge of Central Command. In short, it’s only a matter of time before we’re going to be at war with Iran.

Clean out your ears. There were two firsts, and you got them jumbled.

The first first was Nancy Pelosi, the first woman Speaker of the House. That’s not to be confused with a pierogi, which is defined as a Polish semicircular dumpling with any of various fillings, such as finely chopped meat or vegetables, often sautéed after boiling. On the other hand, there could be a parallel here. From what we hear, she’s definitely full of something.

The second first was Keith Ellison, the first Muslim congressman, being sworn in on a Quran or Koran—not a crayon. We sure hope you’re not an Islamophobe or something. We might have to report you to our imam, you dhimmi. Better get with the new program, D.

2007: Year of the Antichrist?

Did you know that Iranian Shiites believe Jesus is returning soon? That’s right—except they believe he’ll be returning as a footman for their Messiah, the Mahdi, who sounds ominously like the Beast of Revelation. We’ve devoted more than a few posts to this alarming development.

Now our friend Joel Rosenberg—who for our money has the best handle around on these things—is reporting that the Iranian loony toons are expecting their Mahdi to arrive as early as this spring and to conquer Arabia, Syria and Iraq, destroy Israel and then set up a global government. Joel warns not to fall into the trap of believing that these people can be reasoned and negotiated with. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” he writes in his latest posting:

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cadre of loyal mullahs are not being driven by the same goals and aspirations as are the diplomats in Washington, Brussels or at the United Nations. The President of Iran and his team fervently believe the Islamic Messiah is coming back soon, possibly as soon as this Spring. They are convinced that their divine mission is to create the conditions for the Mahdi's return. As a result, they are committed to instigating more anti--American violence in Iraq, not less. They are determined to obtain nuclear weapons at all costs, not negotiate away their atomic research and development program. What's more, they are deeply committed to building political and military alliances with anti-Western powers, not finding accommodation with the West.

Bottom line: the leaders of Iran are preparing for an apocalyptic war with the U.S. and Israel. It's not a question of "if" but "when." The sooner the White House and our new Congressional leaders realize this and take decisive action to stop this nuclear nightmare, the better.

Typical. Just to demonstrate that crooked men cannot seem to utter straight words, the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, Javad Zarif, had trouble responding to UN sanctions against his country yesterday for its nuclear program. His only resort, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, was a tired, old deflection to the bogeyman of Israel.

"The same governments which have pushed this council to take groundless punitive measures against Iran's peaceful nuclear program have systematically prevented it from taking any action to nudge the Israeli regime towards submitting itself to the rules governing the nuclear nonproliferation regime," Zarif told the 15-nation council.

Well, Javad, there’s one little difference. You have nobody but yourself to blame. Your country is the one threatening its neighbors and talking about wiping Israel off the map. The UN pantywaist appeasers would never have approved the first sanction against your country had it not been for those threats. Not even they are willing to let a child play with a loaded revolver.

Al Qaeda sends a message to Dhimmicrats

If this doesn’t make your blood boil, we suggest you move to France. . .

In what sounds like a brotherly, albeit patronizing, tone, al Qaeda No. 2 man Ayman al Zawahiri admonishes U.S. Dhimmicrats not to get too puffed up over their defeat of those evil Republicans in last month’s election. It was really the triumph of al Qaeda’s “Mujahideen,” he asserts in the latest tape from that scare closet, according to ABC News. He also warns the incoming Dhimmicrat leaders to negotiate only with him and Osama bin Laden, not with those other Islamniacs.

Sounds to us like the Dhimmicrats have more common cause with our enemy than they do with their own country. But wait, there’s more: ABC’s Brian Ross says the tone of Zawahiri’s statement “takes a distinctly less threatening tone and may reflect an attitude that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan is near.”

Our view: Americans need to fight with overwhelming force, toss Zawahiri into Gitmo, throw away the key and win this thing. And the Dhimmicrats need to move to France. . .

Carter’s Arab financiers

Well, well. So, the truth comes out. Our friend Rachel Ehrenfeld seems to have uncovered a silver bullet that explains a lot about Mr. Jimmuh Carter—why he’s such a thorn in the flesh on the war on terror, so anti-Israel, etc. Seems it all has to do with … do-re-mi. Even ol’ cynical Roscoe was a bit taken aback by the venality of Mr. High Horse here.

Iran’s nut job, President Mahmoud “Mojo” Ahmadinejad, has now taken to taunting our lame duck president.

"Mr. Bush can travel to one of the American states, inviting the people to a stadium to see how the people would treat him," the ISNA students news agency quoted him as saying.

"I am sure that the American people would treat Mr. Bush as the Indonesian people treated him," he said referring to protests that greeted Bush on a visit to Indonesia last month.

Apart from Cindy Sheehan and a few other head cases, our president still commands considerable respect here. Unlike yourself, who actually did get the kind of treatment you’re describing—from your own people, who shouted you down last week when you tried to speak. Is that what’s on your alleged mind? Is that why you’re trying to deflect and dodge and weave?

You should talk. I have it on good authority from some credible sources that you’ve fallen into considerable disfavor within your own country—and outside, too, though most of that’s not shared for public consumption. Like one of your predecessors who witnessed the hand of God writing his epitaph on the wall, your days, too, are numbered. Repent, Mojo, while you still have the chance—or face the woes that are in store for you.

Why isn’t this a much bigger deal?

The Sandy Burglar stolen documents case is one of the very best examples I know of mainstream mediocracy bias. While all the drive-by dinosaur media journalistas were hellbent on the non-story of Karl Rove and Valerie Plame, they virtually ignored the real story of Berger’s prosecution for stealing—and possibly doctoring—classified documents that might have revealed too much to the 9/11 commission about the Clintonistas’ misefeasance in the war on terror.

NewsBusters does its usually great job of putting this one together. All to the further shame and disgrace of the mainstream mediocracy. Could you imagine the media feeding frenzy if this sort of thing had been committed by a Republican? Actually, we probably can't...

Speaker in the henhouse

So much for making ethics reform the first order of business in the new year, as incoming Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi promised during the election. One of the areas of concern she mentioned was House members’ widespread acceptance of free air travel from lobbyists and special interests.

So, what to our wondering eyes did appear yesterday but Santa Pelosi putting a big red bow on the House Ethics Committee and handing it over to Rep. Stephanie “Please Return Your Seat to Its Full Upright Position” Tubbs Jones, D-Cleveland—who just happens to be the flyingest member of Congress. Here’s what The New York Times had to say earlier about the frequent flyers of Capitol Hill:

The No. 1 traveler has been Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio, who is expected to be the next chairwoman of the House ethics committee. Tubbs Jones, who has taken 74 trips during the seven-year period, defends her trips, which have included a journey to a Las Vegas conference in 2005 courtesy of the United Steelworkers and a speaking engagement in Barbados earlier this year paid for by the National Bar Association.

“I make no apologies for the trips that I have taken during my tenure in Congress,” Tubbs Jones said in a statement. “As the only African American woman, and only Democratic woman on the Ways and Means Committee, I am often contacted by former constituents from my congressional district, and persons throughout the country for speaking engagements.”

At that rate, Stephanie was taking nearly one trip a month. Heck, seems like she’s taken almost as many trips as Jerry Garcia. You’ve probably heard that Sen. Harry Reid is planning on a government paid trip to Peru’s ancient city of Machu Picchu right after Christmas. A Reid spokesperson told the Washington Post that Reid, several other Senators and spouses, as well as staff will hear about “critical security and economic issues.” See PoliticalMoneyLine.

Do these people, like, have some part of their brain removed when they join the leadership club? That’s the only good explanation I can think of. Read the rest of the Times piece here. John Fund also had a nice piece on the subject.

The other interesting thing to note is that every one of the top 16 frequent flyers in Congress are all Dems. (Who, BTW, have the chutzpah to talk about a Republican culture of corruption.) Every list I’ve seen has been different in some way, but here’s one. You'll see some very familiar names:

Decrapitation Part 2

Is the Pentagon reading The Roscoe Daley Report? (See “Decrapitate this,” Tues. 12/12.) Makes you wonder, considering today’s quiet but startling reports that they’re “considering” a major Naval buildup in the Persian Gulf with a second carrier group to go there, probably after the first of the year. It’s described as a “warning” to Iran about its “increasingly provocative acts.”

We applaud the move. It’s time for put-up-or-shut-up for Mahmoud “Mojo” Ahmadinejad. Either way, he loses. By the way, do you have any idea what kind of firepower there is with just one carrier group? Shock and awe. I can’t even imagine two. We may trot out some facts and figures, if that’s really what’s going down.

What this tells us is that President Bush and new SecDef Robert Gates have crossed the Rubicon and decided to lay down the gauntlet, accepting a degree of likelihood of armed conflict with Iran. This just has to be. No nation that threatens to wipe others off the map should be allowed to go nuclear without a fight, especially one with a delusional nut at the helm like Mojo.

Brave new stem-cell world

Speaking of delusional, what Michael J. Fox, et al., won’t tell you—because they probably don’t believe it—is that when embryonic human life becomes a commodity, our humanity is also aborted:

Investigators in the Ukraine are probing whether missing infants and preborns taken from mothers by maternity staff at a Kharkov hospital were killed so their organs could be extracted for stem-cell experimentation.

A few months ago, Family News in Focus reported that women in the Ukraine were being paid about $200 at a time to have abortions in order to provide stem cells for beauty treatments. Now more grisly findings are being reported. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) said it has video of 30 infants and fetuses being exhumed from a cemetery used by a maternity hospital in the Ukraine. Some of the bodies are missing organs.

Conspiracy theorists on the net are buzzing about the disappearance of Ray Gricar, a Pennsylvania DA and political rival of Rep. John “Walking Culture of Corruption” Murtha. Gricar, a prosecutor in Murtha’s district, had been rumored as a potential candidate against Murtha before his mysterious disappearance.

Political fish fry

Barack v. Hillary

Man, talk about feast or famine. Last couple of weeks we’d been experiencing our first true dry spell in terms of daily posting—like ol’ Mother Hubbard’s cupboard. Now, it’s more like shooting fish in a barrel.

I mean, we’ve got the Barack Hussein Obama political phenomenon-cum-train-wreck. Oh, you didn’t hear? Heh. Well, remember all of Mr. Hope’s Wal-Mart-bashing? Turns out his wife, Michelle, is on the board of directors—pulling down a tidy sum in addition to her regular gig—of a food company whose biggest customer is—of course—Wal-Mart.

And that’s not all. Seems he’s also got a really shady land deal going with a really dodgy character. All of which has got some folks thinking they’re picking up the scent of a Hillary-inspired takedown of her opposition. “If you had a sophisticated enough microscope, you probably could see the fingerprints of Hillary Clinton operatives on the anti-Obama story today in the Washington Post,” wrote Dan Curry in Reverse Spin.

French connection

Then we have a really tasty item about the French presidential race, which also features a strong candidate to be first woman president of her country, Segolene Royal. Mme. Royal, it turns out, really wants face time with Hillary, figuring it would really give her a bump back in France, where they idolize the Clintons. But of course.

But, oh, dear—just one little problem: Mme. Royal is an out-and-out Socialist, not a disingenuous progressive weeny like we have over here. And not just a pinko, but a pinko with serious baggage—like being way too cozy with a bunch of guys called Hezbollah and making rude comments about President Bush and U.S. foreign policy.

So, Hillary apparently is not too keen about such a tete a tete. It just wouldn’t do to have that kind of French Connection. The phone just keeps ringing, and no one answers. . .

So, shoot, with all this happening, we’ll have to finish up with Mr. Franken a bit later on. Just too doggone many fish too fry.

Gag me

Did you hear the one about unhinged lefty clown Al Franken running for the U.S. Senate? Yeah, but it’s not a joke. Unfortunately. It’s apparently a serious bid to take on incumbent Norm Coleman in Franken’s home state of Minnesota.

Besides suggesting execution for Karl Rove and Scooter Libby, Franken is (in)famous as a former writer for Saturday Night Live, as one of the rats leaving the sinking Air America Radio ship and as so singularly lacking integrity as to merit an entire chapter in Peter Schwiezer’s great book on liberal hypocrisy, Do As I Say (Not As I Do). Schweizer describes Franken in his book as a “habitual liar, mean-spirited partisan and racial discriminator.”

In other words, if elected, he ought to fit right in. At least for a while. Rumor has it that Franken has even higher aspirations—the, gasp, presidency itself. You might not think Franken sounds exactly presidential in his demeanor—or even senatorial, for that matter. But that’s because you’re an idiot. Just ask Franken.

Like when he said recently about his potential candidacy, "Republicans always say, 'How dare Susan Sarandon and Martin Sheen get involved in politics!'" Franken said. "Then Arnold showed up and it was 'Oooh! Arnold’s running! Oooh! The Terminator!' Well, 'F' you!" We hear he eats with that mouth, too.

And, oh yeah, he’s running as a Democrat. But maybe you figured that out already, despite being an idiot. "Democrats,” says Franken, “care so much more for the poor than Republicans do." Yeah, Al, you know, has a really big heart.

Well, we might just have a few more things to say about all that in the days ahead. . .

Advance to the rear

Speaking of vicious weasels, we also hear that the French are about to do what they do best: Retreat.

Seems they’re removing all the special forces from Afghanistan, saying it’s becoming too dangerous. They’ve lost 10 soldiers during their participation in Operation Enduring Freedom. We can’t help but wonder how many of them were shot in the back. . .
